The Void | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Adam Graham Detroit News "The Void" gets louder, grosser and more stupid the further it progresses, becoming an endurance test in its final sequences. Rated: C Apr 21, 2017 Full Review The Void | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Adam Nayman The Ringer The resulting splatter is a bloody mess, which, if not a mass-audience spectacle, is exactly what these filmmakers were going for in the first place. Apr 7, 2017 Full Review The Void | Rotten Tomatoes (3) John DeFore Hollywood Reporter One of the more action-packed features to come from the current crop of John Carpenter-inspired filmmakers, The Void finds collaborators Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski going much further than many of their peers. Apr 7, 2017 Full Review The Void | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review A refreshing change from supernatural specters and slasher remakes. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 4, 2022 Full Review The Void | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Emma Wolfe SpookyAstronauts They did have a good idea and a good premise... but it kind of lost momentum. Rated: 4/10 Apr 26, 2021 Full Review The Void | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See "The Void" delivers dramatic beats; manic, WTF monster madness; and enough gore to paint an entire hospital red. p t An amazing entry in the Lovecraftian world. only a few moments of bad acting by supprting casts. Otherwise it joins my list of lovecraftian movies like In the Mouth of Madness, Even Horizon, The Beyond and so on. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/15/24 Full Review Valok P A nice throwback to body horror films of old, but with a almost Lovecraft-ish tone to it. The Void constantly begs questions at the insanity being displayed and leaves much ambiguous, in a way that leaves the mind raving about the film for hours. (In the best possible way) And bloodhounds will get their fill from the carnage and horrific amalgamates. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/30/24 Full Review Ricardo d Chato, tem até um suspense inicial, mas depois descamba para o trash e nada é explicado. E você pensa: Fui tapeado. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Audience Member I have no idea what the h*ll this garbage was supposed to be about. Disjointed, all over the place, horrible continuity. It made no sense on any level. None. I want my 90 minutes back! 78% ripe ass is more like it. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review Ellie M It was a gore-fest so if you're into that I guess maybe 3 stars. The music was so loud it was hard to focus on what was going on. All over the place, predictable, not a unique theme. It seemed like just one big excuse to create as many bloody, oozy effects as possible. The two stars I gave were for the main actor and the special effects/props designer. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Darren D "The Void" from Steven Kostanski & Jeremy Gillespie, feel like a welcome throwback to 1980s, straightforward storytelling & with characters fighting off a siege from cultists & unimaginable terrors. "The Void" lands to be an entertaining creature feature inspired by cosmic horror & violently shows off the glorious & gory practical effects.
