"It was really out of curiosity that I had let him do the chart," said Jeannie, 32. "He began to tell me all these things -about myself and-they were ail true. "My charts had been saying I'd he meeting someone." They have studied their astrological charts, through the year 2000, to find out how compatible they are, what kind of marriage they can expect, and where the potential trouble spots will be. "Astrology is not fortune telling," Parker said. "You can make predictions you can pick up trends but when it comes down to forecasting: specific events, it's not He advises his clients, and his wife, to treat the readings as a kind of weather forecast to learn areas of potential harmony and discord. Will it work for them? "I'm not sure why it works," Parker said. "I just know it does." "It shows that it's mapped out pretty well in what I've seen happen 'so far," Jeannie said.

Brown announced the appointment Wednesday along with two others to the San Francisco Municipal Court bench.
